하나의 정당이 읍·면·동별로 걸 수 있는 현수막을 2개로 제한하는 법안이 31일 국회 행정안전위원회 법안소위를 통과했다. 행안위는 법안1소위를 열어 ‘옥외광고물 등의 관리와 옥외광고산업 진흥에 관한 법률 개정안’을 의결했다. 지난해 12월 지방자치단체 허가·신고 없이 정당 현수막 설치가 가능하도록 하는 법 개정 이후 무분별한 현수막 설치가 문제로 지적되자 보완 입법에 나선 것이다.

개정안은 정당의 현수막 설치 개수를 읍·면·동 단위로 각각 2개 이내로 제한하도록 하는 내용이다. 설치는 보행자나 교통수단의 안전을 저해하지 않는 장소에 하도록 했고,협치첫단추현수막난립방지법소위통과 설치 기간이 만료된 경우 신속히 자진 철거하도록 하는 조항도 담겼다. 현수막 규격, 표시 방법, 게시 기간 등은 시행령에 위임했다.
